Karel Franchois is Vice President, Business Development & Growth Initiatives at HFS. Karel supports the expansion of HFS’ reach with companies ‘at the core of innovation’.

From the innovation award at IBM, over process improvement at Metastorm, to customer-centric, outcome-based disruptive commercial models at Ooyala, Piksel and NeuLion, for more than a decade innovation, change, disruption, process improvement, digital and analytics have been a thread through Karel’s career. With the Triple A Trifecta of Automation, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence the new drivers for Digital Transformation – the OneOffice, he is excited to have joined the company that brings ‘the next big thing’ – HFS.

Kerry Hallard

Kerry Hallard – is the President of the Global Sourcing Association and CEO of the Global Sourcing Association UK. Kerry previously held the titles of CEO of the National Outsourcing Association and Director of the European Outsourcing Association and recently led the organisations’ highly successful global rebrand. Kerry’s focus is on growing the reach and the positive reputation of the sourcing industry globally, through the development and dissemination of standards and qualifications. Kerry recently established the GSA’s Standard Advisory Group, enlisting representation from 20 countries around the world, as well as senior buyers, service providers and accreditation partners.

Kerry’s career spans over 20 years in strategic consultancy and corporate communications in the high-tech and business-to-business arena, representing companies to include: ICL; Lexmark; IBM; KPN Qwest; Avaya; Crystal Decisions and Cincom. Kerry received an MBA from Kingston Business School in 2004. Prior to commencing her career in communications, Kerry worked in Eagle Star Insurance Services IT department. Kerry graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA Hons in Modern Languages and Information Systems.



He leads Everest Group’s Global Sourcing practice, which includes Global Location Optimization practice, work with Global In-house Centers and country associations. He has significant experience supporting leading global companies in optimizing their location, sourcing model and offshoring strategies. He is a recognized global expert and is a renowned speaker at international conferences. He leads both advisory and published research across multiple global sourcing topics and brings a unique blend of industry, consulting and research experience.

Christian Mertin

Transformation leader in Global Business Services with deep knowledge in finance, shared services and other back-office functions, as well as strong capabilities in enabling technologies and digitalization. With over 20 years of experience in Global Business Services, Shared Services, as well as Finance and IT management advisory, Christian holds the position of EY Advisory Lead Partner, leading one of the EY top pivotal solutions – Global Business Services (GBS). His key engagement in various large-scale Global projects has supported transformations for leading clients worldwide. He is the creator of EY Global Business and Shared Services Leaders’ Clubs – initiatives that unify more than 100 Global and European organizations. Working with globally renowned companies, Christian helps EY clients recognize that their Global Business Services or Shared Services set-up can be transformed into an innovation hub, taking a lead role in an organization-wide digital transformation. He spent three years with EY India as the Finance Transformation Leader, which offered him and his family a remarkable professional and personal experience in a fast-growing, emerging country. Before joining EY, he held leading roles at a multinational technology company. He has broad-ranging, cross-industry advisory experience with deep knowledge in retail, automotive and life sciences. Christian holds an Engineering Applied Sciences Diploma in Information Technology and performed his master’s thesis at the University of Enschede in the Netherlands.
